Mindie has been a practicing social worker for 15 years. She obtained her Bachelor of Social Work
Degree in 2007 from the University of Manitoba. Since that time she has worked with many different
demographics from a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds.
Mindie is passionate and genuine in her desire to help people reconnect and rediscover their inner
strengths. The foundation to her work begins with ensuring she creates a safe, compassionate,
judgement free space, where people can begin to heal.
Mindie values, respects and honors client’s vulnerability and courage to share their stories and
struggles. Using a client-centred, strengths based, trauma informed approach, Mindie meets her clients
where they are at and walks along side them in their journey to healing. She believes that her clients
are the experts of their lives, and by building a safe trusting relationship, and working collaboratively,
they can gain the tools needed to move towards personal growth and happiness.
“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t
survive.” -Brene Brown
